Rotary harrow and its types 
Harrows are special agricultural machinery designed to prepare the soil for sowing and post-emergence harrowing of the land (loosening, aerating and improving moisture, weed control) in fields where cereals and row crops are grown.
There are different types of such equipment, but the most popular in Ukraine is a rotary harrow. It is a fairly solid steel structure, consisting of a support frame, on which there are a number of wheels equipped with sharp teeth. This is a non-powered attachment. It is attached to the side of the tractor and is set in motion along with the start of its course.
The teeth break up large clods of earth, loosen them, due to which air, moisture and various fertilizers enter the depth more easily. Due to the main purpose - loosening, this tool is often called a harrow-hoe.
The use of this equipment allows you to introduce additional nitrogen into the soil, which significantly accelerates the development and growth of cultivated plants. In spring, the soil is harrowed to close the moisture. At the same time, the surface of the arable land is leveled, as a result of which less moisture evaporates from it: the compacted top layer is destroyed, the capillaries between the water-rich bottom layer and the top layer are interrupted.
Rotary harrows are universal special equipment, but at the same time there are several varieties according to the type of working body - teeth located on disks. So, today in Ukraine you can buy:

- mesh.
The former perfectly knead the soil crust and large clods. That is, they mulch the topsoil well, destroying the soil crust, thereby retaining moisture. This makes it possible to switch to herbicide-free technology.
Needle models are needed for loosening and obtaining a uniform soil surface.
Mesh ones are used after the plant has sprouted, if the height has not exceeded 14 cm. The latter also provide excellent processing of sandy soils and are indispensable on floaters.
Scope of rotary harrow
In general, the rotary hoe has a very wide range of applications. - impact and loosening of the soil surface, destruction of large clods;

- removing carbon dioxide from the earth and replacing it with a mixture of oxygen and nitrogen from the air;
- distribution of moisture and landscape, strengthening of plants, ensuring a better supply of fertilizers to the deep layers of the earth;
- correct destruction of filamentous shoots of weeds on the plowed field;
- getting full sprouts.
